Cup 20:   We

A man is beating his wife, right out on the street.

Bystanders stare, frozen.

We must do something.

But who is we?

Is we the man, thrilling with power?

Is we the woman, screaming, turning away, protecting our face?

Is we the bystanders, immobilized?

And what is the something we must do?

We has a gun. We is pointing it at we.

Think fast: better to be still and invisible, or run and make we a target?
